Open Sesame Does It For Me

With Open Sesame you need to have some patience getting from the "Please Wait To Be Seated" sign to actually sitting down at a table...because this place is popular...and finding a parking space can be challenging on a busy Friday night.

The "Fresh Asian" menu is pretty extensive and the value is fair to good, plus you can make your own Asian rice or noodle bowl with a myriad of choices from fresh veggies to sauces to herbs, nuts and other goodies. All you have to do is choose your carbohydrate of choice, your meat and then pile a bowl as high as you can with options. Beware though of getting too complicated. I suggest keeping it simple, adding some salty nuts or sunflower seeds and adding three scoops of sauce.  The bowls are not priced by weight; starting at $8.95 and your meat choice add-on ranges from $3.50 to $4.50.

With the restaurant being so busy service was slow but our server was nice and very helpful. I highly recommend reservations.

Los Mariachi's

I completely agree with Nicole. Although my food was pretty tasty (I had the chimichangas and a chi chi to drink), the service was terrible. The poor service would have been understandable if the restaurant had been really busy or short staffed or something, but it wasn’t. Definitely don’t go to Los Mariachi’s if you’re in any sort of hurry. It took ages to just get water and we asked multiple times. I'm fairly certain our server hated her job and us. Sorry Mariachis, your food may be good, but not worth the pain of the service. I hope someone picks El Sombrero! 2 Shazzams. Yes only 2.

Blink and you will miss it, the tiny restaurant Los Mariachis comes across as trying to be authentic but is more kitch than anything else. I would recommend the nachos but majority of the food came out cold from the comments of the Shazam Dinner Club members...my Beef Burritos (the last picture) came out piping hot (too hot?) and were quite tasty actually...but the service was unfortunately very poor and really a downer on the evening. We didn't even get dessert!  I need to erase this experience with a visit to El Sombrero.
